About Us

Colm and Pat Maher have been delivering bread since 1993, starting with Stickling's Bakery products. For the first five years, they delivered in a station wagon. Soon, it became obsolete and as luck would have it, they acquired a spacious 15 yr old Chevy van in great condition from a customer. With more room for product, they went out and got more suppliers and were able to give their customers a better selection.

Today, Bread Roots Inc has well over 500 natural and organic products and the old reliable chevy van has regrettably been traded in. After putting 500,000 km on each of the next 3 cube vans, they had to go too. Bread Roots now has 3 new cab-chassis Sprinter vans which were designed specifically for Bread Roots all with deliveries in mind, to help make things more efficient.

"We are well aware that none of this would be possible without the creative genius of all our bakers who toil long hours making great products for the consumers. We are very proud to serve these bakers. We are also privileged to service our network of Health Food stores that do their best every day to provide the consumer with healthier food choices. Last but not least, our employees make this all happen in good weather and in bad, in slow weeks and in good weeks. They ask for orders, promote new products, do all the paperwork and deliver the bread. Every week, every day and on time."
